Earn from funding rates
The service monitors current funding rates across exchanges and shows where the best opportunities are, which side of the trade receives the payment, and how to hedge the position against price movements.
What is Funding
Funding is a periodic payment exchanged between LONG and SHORT positions in perpetual futures. The sign of the rate determines which side pays and which side receives. This mechanism helps keep the futures price close to the spot price.
Negative rate
When the rate is below zero, SHORT positions pay LONG positions. The LONG position in the perpetual futures market receives the funding payment. To reduce price risk, it needs an equal-sized hedge in the opposite direction.
When settlement happens
Depending on the exchange and currency, settlement occurs every 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. A position must be open at settlement to receive the payment.
Positive rate
When the rate is above zero, LONG positions pay SHORT positions. A common market-neutral setup is to buy the coin on the spot market and open an equal-sized 1x SHORT in perpetual futures to collect funding payments.
APR value (%)
APR annualizes the current funding rate, making it easier to compare opportunities. It is not a fixed return: the rate can change at any time.
Finding opportunities and opening positions
Elixo Bots saves you time on manual research and provides the data you need to make an informed decision before each trade.
Automatic Monitoring
Filter by coin, exchange, and minimum APR. The table shows at a glance which position to open and when the next payment is due.
Analytics & Data
Open the coin page to compare funding history, payment intervals, open interest, and trading conditions across exchanges.
How the service helps you find an opportunity
Follow the suggested setup and open the recommended opposing positions in the same coin across different exchanges.
Smart Notifications
Get alerts on Telegram. If the rate changes sign or the advantage disappears, reassess the trade or close both positions.
Three Proven Farming Scenarios
The system matches the current rate with one of three strategies. Hedging reduces price risk, but each trade still needs to be executed carefully.
If You Already Have the Coin
If you already own the coin or can borrow it at a low cost, sell it on the spot market and open an equal-sized 1x LONG. This preserves your exposure to the asset while allowing you to collect funding payments.
Buy on Spot + SHORT on Futures
Buy the coin on the spot market and open an equal-sized 1x SHORT in futures. While the rate remains positive, the two positions offset price movements and the SHORT receives funding payments.
Cross-Exchange Arbitrage
Open equal-sized positions in opposite directions for the same coin on different exchanges. The best opportunities arise when the rates have opposite signs or differ significantly.

What to check before opening a trade
Hedging reduces exposure to directional price movements, but it does not eliminate trading fees, slippage, or liquidation risk.
Spread and liquidity
On smaller exchanges and less liquid coins, the spread can wipe out the value of several funding payments. Compare the bid and ask prices, trading volume, and open interest.
Rate sign changes
A high APR may last only a few hours. Review the rate history and reassess the opportunity shortly before the next payment.
SHORT liquidation
Even at 1x leverage, a SHORT position has a liquidation price. Monitor your margin and close both sides of the hedge in a coordinated way.
Execution timing
Open and close both sides at nearly the same time and in equal size to avoid unintended directional exposure.
